Agronomic Advisor - Ceresco

Under the supervision of the agronomic director, the advisor must participate in the development of his territory.

Main task and responsibilities:

  • Participates in developing and implementing the necessary strategies to obtain production contracts with farmers:
    • Finalizes production contracts
    • Provides technical assistance to farmers, when required
    • Maintains the quality of business relationships with all producers
    • Enforces all established operating rules
  • Provides technical assistance to producers and to Ceresco representatives
  • Seeks for new soybean producers to increase the company’s sources of supply
  • Prepares activity reports for the agronomic director
  • Actively participates in promotional and informative activities
  • Collects and evaluates the quantities and quality of samples during the harvest period
  • Participates in the development of an Identity Preserved (IP) program
  • Writes and submits a weekly report of its activities regarding field monitoring
  • Exchanges between colleagues and others of all relevant technical information
  • Participates in meetings for which it is required

Skills, Knowledge and Required Abilities :

  • Minimum, agricultural technique and relevant 2 years work experience
  • University degree in agronomy (important asset)
  • Good knowledge and experience in grain crops, particularly soybeans
  • Knowledge of sales techniques
  • Autonomous in the organization of one’s work
  • High level of employee engagement to the company
  • Sufficient knowledge of French and English (spoken and written)
  • Interpersonal skills and negotiating abilities
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with producers

Special Conditions :

  • Availability to intervene outside normal working hours
