Equipment Operator - Ceresco

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the proper operation and preventive maintenance of screening equipment and any other equipment provided
  • Adjusts the various screening equipment to meet order and production work order specifications
  • Reports any observed breakdowns or malfunctions to the maintenance manager and/or foreperson
  • Changes the screen decks according to production requirements and makes the necessary adjustments during start-up
  • At the beginning of each shift, checks the condition of the equipment before starting it
  • Follows quality standards and procedures
  • Regularly tests products and completes the required documentation, including production work orders and other quality reports
  • Updates the tile board to record production shutdowns
  • Ensures that the correct bags are used for each order
  • Ensures that the correct labels are used when required
  • Cleans and maintains the work area and screening equipment during every shift
  • Assists with production as requested
  • Performs any other related duties requested by the supervisor
  • Performs minor repairs
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of production processes
  • At the beginning and end of each shift, communicates or reviews the information required for ongoing operations
  • Operates the electric silo sweep auger when emptying silos, in collaboration with the production team
  • Complies with all workplace safety standards

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or five years of relevant experience
  • Ability to regularly handle heavy objects weighing more than 30 kg (66 lb)
  • Recognized forklift operator certification
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of workplace mathematics
  • Ability to use both metric and imperial measurement systems
  • Responsible, demonstrates sound judgment and is able to acknowledge mistakes when they occur

Position Details:

  • Continental schedule (Week 1: 3 days – Week 2: 4 days)
  • 12-hour evening and night shifts
