Research and Development IP Soy Culture

Ceresco relies on Quebec innovation. That is why we have invested over $ 700,000 to establish our Research and Development Center. This allows us to make full use of our expertise and thus develop new agricultural techniques, breed better cultivars and contribute to the development of the region. Near the head office of Saint-Urbain-Premier and of our research plots covering 14 hectares, the Research Center is a major asset allowing us to regroup our entire research team under one roof.

At the heart of these new installations is a greenhouse designed specifically for the needs of our company. This enables our researchers to maintain a rigorous control over the varieties under development throughout the year. With a capacity of more than 2,300 plants, the fully computerized greenhouse is equipped with various sensors and a weather station to optimize lighting, humidity, temperature and watering.

With a total area of 9,500 square feet, the Research and Development Center contains, in addition to the greenhouse, common work areas, offices, a large conference room and a refrigerated warehouse.

Thanks to its research and development program, Ceresco is securing the future with great pride. Company specialists work systematically to enhance their knowledge of the culture of Non-GMO Identity Preserved (IP) soy for human consumption.

Through research and development, Ceresco aims at developing new IP varieties, increasing its production capacities and improving product quality in keeping with its sustainable development and environmental protection orientations.
